Keith Schramm
Keith Schramm, at the age of 15 was World Junior National Youth Championships in Saddlebreds. After attending college at the University of Oregon he became interested in the sport of eventing.
Keith teamed up with is young bay horse, Tyzack and together the pair cleaned up at top competitions on the West Coast. They then headed to the east coast for training with top eventers and more competition. There he continued to do well, riding with the US team.
While heading for the USET selection trials for the 1984 Olympics, Tyzack took a bad step coming off the trailer, injuring his suspensory ligament. This accident ended Keith's Olympic dream. With his Olympic hopes dashed, Keith continued to ride, train, teach and compet. In 1990 he was named the full time event instructor and trainer.
His favorite part of the job is working with people. Keith has trained many riders who have continued to go on and have successful careers. Keith is currently accepting clients into his program.
